Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Civil Engineer III with an emphasis on Water Resources and Water/Wastewater systems. Baxter & Woodman works with municipal and private development clients on projects of all size, putting the client and the solution first – solving problems for people. What your day-to-day will look like

• Assist with managing civil/water resources study and design projects.
• Design of storm water, potable water and wastewater pipelines and pumping stations.
• Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models of stormwater systems.
• Prepare drainage studies and stormwater, and wastewater masterplans.
• Planning, review, and design of municipal neighborhood improvements including stormwater facilities (open channels, culverts, storm sewers, detention basins, etc.) and general civil infrastructure.
• Support the development of engineering project proposals with the marketing team.
• Application of sustainable design elements as they relate to water, wastewater, and stormwater.
• Address resiliency, LID, Sea Level Rise, and climate change impacts in design.
• Preparation of plans and specifications for construction.
• Performing quality control of stormwater models, reports, and/or design.
• Permitting with local, state, and federal permitting agencies.
• Represent the company at Professional organizations.

Education/Certification Requirements

• 4-year B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in water resources engineering preferred.
• FloridaP.E. License required (or the ability to obtain through reciprocity).

Must-haves, what you will bring

• 6+ years of experience in the design of civil projects.
• Progressive experience in the design of water, wastewater projects.
• Knowledge of basic principles of infrastructure design and plan preparation.
• Expertise in hydrology and/or hydraulics.
• Expertise with modeling (stormwater, wastewater and/or water).
• Experience in consulting engineering, public works, or construction.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman service area (own transportation).
• Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D is preferred) and ArcGIS is a plus.

Compensation The pay range for this role is $100,000-$125,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
