Job Description
Primary Purpose of Position
Assist Foreman and skilled workers in performing their assigned duties, primarily waterproofing, on construction sites.
Primary Job tasks/Responsibilities
Comply with all federal, state and local safety health regulations
Taking apart or constructing scaffolding, bracing and other temporary structures for the construction site
Digging trenches and backfill holes to prepare for the construction site
Operating equipment and heavy machinery used in construction sites
Following instructions from construction project managers and supervisors
Loading and unloading building materials
Cleaning the construction site by removing hazards materials and debris from the worksite
Physical/Mental Requirements
Basic math skills to perform calculations while measuring on job sites and to help the surveying crew
Physical strength when performing heavy labor that is required from construction workers such as lifting materials
Physical stamina in order to handle the long hours of performing strenuous work during the day in hot or cold weather
Stand or walk for long periods of time, Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
Use fingers, hands and arms to reach for, handle and manipulate objects.
Lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes, weighing up to 75 pounds
Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects.
Work Hours/Attendance
Regular hours are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM., Monday through Friday. However, hours may change, and you may be asked to work overtime on short notice. Some weeliend work may be involved on short notice.
Promptness/punctuality is required everyday.
