  • Review and evaluate plumbing system designs and make recommendations for optimization in terms of performance, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure system installation meets design specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct site visits to verify the accuracy of system installations and troubleshoot any issues during construction.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop contingency plans for plumbing system failures or malfunctions in critical data center operations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including design reports, specifications, and as-built drawings.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to plumbing, fire protection, and data center infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support during all stages of the project lifecycle, including planning, design, construction, and commissioning.

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in plumbing design, preferably in data centers or large-scale commercial facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, including piping design, water treatment, drainage, and fire protection systems.
  • In-depth understanding of building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations specific to plumbing systems.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Experience in designing plumbing systems for mission-critical facilities.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design practices, including water conservation techniques and energy-efficient plumbing solutions.
  • Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes and tools.
  • Previous experience working with contractors, vendors, and construction teams.
