Job Description

Viera Builders, Inc. has an opening for a full-time, hourly paid Design Administrator working in a fast paced, professional environment. The Design Administrator is responsible for the maintenance of the Design Studio calendar (scheduling of appointments), Design Studio appearance and lobby, inventory of Design Studio samples, walk-in traffic, and supporting the Design Coordinators and Director of Design. 

Duties include:

• • Serve as front desk receptionist, greeting customers, offer refreshments and answering the phone.
  • Responsible for Pre-Con power point program to include updating drop template, reading the option master, creating power point with options for buyers selection and following up with departments if discrepancies are found and creating a change order.
  • Provide product line updates by communicating with vendors on any discontinued or changed products. Update design catalog and drop templates. Inform design team and purchasing team of changes.
  • Update the marketing department on any product changes and to contact Rendering House to update the VBI website to reflect new options.
  • Prepare and maintain specification sheets for Design Coordinators.
  • Assist Design Coordinators and Design Director when needed to include change orders, ordering office supplies and maintain building needs.

  Employee must be available during the work hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday through Friday and 10:30 am to 7:00 pm on Monday for Design Preview. 

Requirements:

• A High School diploma and a minimum of one or more years in design or industry related experience. Experience in new home construction preferred. Excellent organizational and administrative skills; strong  customer service and communication skills (written and verbal); professionalism; experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
