Raw Rations Pet Food & Wellness in Sauk City, WI is looking to add a dog groomer to join our team. We are located on 759 Phillips Blvd. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and reliable. This position is an hourly pay position with tips. We are seeking someone that ideally has prior grooming experience and is interested in a kind and wholistic approach to grooming to best serve our clientele.

Responsibilities

• Bathing and Drying: Thoroughly washing and drying dogs, using appropriate shampoos and dryers. 
• Trimming and Styling: Clipping and trimming fur to conform to breed standards or owner specifications, using various tools like clippers and scissors. 
• Nail and Paw Care: Clipping nails, filing rough edges, and maintaining healthy paw pads. 
• Ear Cleaning: Cleaning ears to remove debris and wax, and checking for signs of infection or parasites. 
• Skin and Coat Health Checks: Inspecting dogs for signs of skin conditions, parasites, or other health issues during grooming sessions. 
• Teeth Brushing: Brushing teeth to promote dental hygiene. 
• Customer Service: Communicating with clients, discussing grooming needs and preferences, and providing advice on at-home care. 
• Record Keeping: Maintaining records of grooming services. 
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping the grooming area and equipment clean and sanitized. 
• Product Recommendations : Being able to provide guidance/recommendations on long term health and coat care for grooming dogs.
