Job Description

NOVA Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our team in the Kennesaw, GA corporate office.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct geotechnical investigations and site assessments.
  • Responsible for preparing project proposals, managing projects, and interfacing directly with clients
  • Perform soil and rock sampling, testing, and analysis.
  • Prepare geotechnical reports and recommendations.
  • Design and analyze foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical structures.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop engineering solutions.
  • Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with geotechnical specifications.
  • Utilize geotechnical software for modeling and analysis.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 2+ year of geotechnical engineering experience
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (or related) is required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) license is highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills and leadership ability
  • Availability and willingness to travel (primarily through out metro Atlanta and north Georgia)
