We are hiring for IP Transport Engineer – Plano, TX (Onsite, Mon–Thurs)

Job Details:

• Design, implement, and optimize high-availability IP/MPLS transport networks for wireless systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot protocols: BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, SR-IPv6, MPLS (L2VPN, L3VPN, RSVP-TE, Segment Routing).
• Hands-on experience with Juniper, Cisco, and Ciena routing and switching platforms.
• Develop automation using Python, Ansible, Shell; experience with NetConf, YANG models, REST APIs.
• Perform lab validation: QoS, routing failovers, hardware/software testing, resiliency simulation.
• Support network initiatives across cross-functional teams: IP Core, Transport, Security.
• Maintain detailed network documentation: diagrams, configs, process manuals.
• Tier 3 SME: lead troubleshooting, RCA, performance/stress testing under pressure.

Must Have:

• Deep understanding of telecom transport (Layer 2/3), latency, wireless backhaul.
• Must have service provider (SP) background (not enterprise/IT).
• Familiarity with OpenStack/Kubernetes, SNMP, TNM protocols, OSS/NMS systems.
• Required: Bachelor’s in EE/CS/Telecom (Master’s preferred); 5+ years of IP Transport experience.
• Location: Onsite in Plano, TX (4 days/week minimum); no remote option; relocation required if not local.
