MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team in Norfolk, Va. This is an onsite position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Providing network security support to Navy operational and training networks focused specifically on the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN)Ensuring uninterrupted network connectivity to customers and sites by planning and executing the installation of new capabilities, as well as operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting network connectivity and infrastructure on enterprise managed networks including support of multiple network enclaves across classification levelsSupport establishment and maintenance of various networks across the NCTE enterprise environment, including IP, LAN, WAN, and MPLS among othersRunning network protocols, network engineering techniques and architectures in support of Navy training and operational requirementsWorking directly with government and contractor personnel receiving engineering oversight form the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Corona DivisionAnalyzing site survey reports to ensure accurate network engineering planningSupport the procurement of network device hardware and software and oversee their installation and integration into the NCTE based on the approved network portfolioSet-up, configuration, and support of internal and external networks, to include: Identifying and analyzing systems requirements, Developing and maintaining system applications and security, Developing and maintaining network configurations, Troubleshooting network performance issues, Providing user support and guidance, Recommending and implementing upgrades, patches, new applications, and new equipment, Developing and maintaining a disaster recovery plan, Ensuring proper documentation, coordination, and maintenance of multiple systemsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field and 5+ years relevant network engineering experience OR High School diploma and 11 years of relevant experienceExperience with the Department of Defense (DoD) Security Technical Implementation GuidelinesExperience in implementing and integrating cross domain solutions at both the Secret and TS levelsComputing Environment/Operating System (CE/OS) certifications Linux, Windows or CiscoExpertise in network infrastructure and operationsProficiency with network performance monitoring toolsStrong Cisco networking skills (IP addressing, switching, routing, IOS) and leadership in end-to-end network lifecycle for C4I systemsPreferred Qualifications:7+ years of relevant work experience as a network engineer within a U.S. Government environment, DoD strongly preferredMaster's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or other related fieldActive CCNA certificationExperience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or Network Operations Security Center (NOSC) environment including help desk, customer communication, trouble ticketing, and issue resolutionExperience with network security architecture similar to the NETTN including Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center, Cisco Firepower NGFW firewalls, AAA, 802.1x, VPN deployments, STIG implementation and verification, Command Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRI)Clearance Requirements:Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret/ SCI security clearancePhysical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printerThe person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
