**Job Title: Painter**
**Job Description**
We are seeking skilled and reliable commercial/residential painters for a 3-4 month assignment during the summer recess at Stanford University. This role involves working on projects in Mountain View, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Sunnyvale, with a focus on Stanford University. Painters will work primarily from 8am to 4pm, with potential overtime available.
**Responsibilities**
+ Paint, stain, and varnish surfaces using brushes and spray guns.
+ Prepare surfaces using hand sanders.
+ Repair surfaces including plastering and sheet rock finishing.
+ Mix and match paint colors.
+ Waterproof surfaces.
+ Refinish chairs, bookcases, desks, and furniture.
+ Set glass and apply putty.
+ Paint signs and occasionally hang wallpaper.
**Essential Skills**
+ At least 3 years of recent commercial painting experience.
+ Ability to perform both interior and exterior painting.
+ Comfortable with tenant improvement projects.
+ Journeyman painter skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Apprentice painter experience.
+ Experience in construction painting.
+ Must be comfortable switching locations as needed.

**Work Environment**
Work will be conducted on-site at Stanford University in Palo Alto, focusing on commercial buildings. Painters must be prepared to work in all weather conditions and be open to flexible hours, including overtime and weekends. Typical painting attire includes all white long pants and sleeves, with PPE requirements of work boots. A packed lunch is recommended as there is no time to leave campus for meals.

This is a Contract position based out of Stanford, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
