Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000

Type: Hybrid 10% in Office Los Angeles

Summary

The Program Manager will oversee the implementation and strategic planning of our anti-hate program and provide support to the priorities and special projects for AAPI Equity Alliance.

Essential Duties and Responsiblities

Essential responsibilities and accountabilities include the following.Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage all aspects related to technical assistance, contract compliance, work deliverables, reporting, and program coordination.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of the online system for reporting and invoicing
  • Provide access, resources, files, and programs through a grantee portal
  • Work with vendors to ensure the integrity of the online reporting database and the efficiency of reporting processes.
  • Manage reporting timelines.review, correct and complete data, and ensure timely submission to the HRC at monthly, quarterly, and annual intervals.
  • Coordinate quarterly convenings, alternating in-person and virtual format, for all Rapid Response Network (RNN) providers, focusing on building the capacity and efficiency of the Rapid Response Network as well as the quality and breadth of services offered to victims and communities targeted by hate.
  • Work with vendors to host weekly case conferencing calls for high-priority and complex cases and record discussion, solution, implementation, result, and reflection of each case discussed. Progress notes will be made available to all RRN providers on the call to ensure consistency, continued learning, and closed-loop care.
  • Create and implement a Capacity Building Plan and Timeline that bolsters the RRN’s abilities to:
  • provide services that address harm, inequity, and continuing adverse impact on hate-targeted individuals and communities through direct response and healing.
  • build community-centered approaches to prevention and response coordination through education, outreach, network strengthening, and collaborative building strategies for crisis response.
  • Oversee outreach and education efforts conducted by all RRN agencies. 
  • Create an Outreach and Marketing Plan that promotes ongoing public education on identifying hate violence prevention and campaign services to respond to hate violence through active provision and dissemination of program information to the public, particularly to potential eligible targets.
  • Utilize its relationship with ethnic media outlets and other media connections to increase the visibility of the anti-hate work and services.
  • Work with the current branding guidelines and marketing strategies to continue to create updated and relevant content and kits to be distributed widely through the RRN and other stakeholders.
  • Manage, track, and proliferate RRN Incentives, promo items, and collateral materials throughout the year.
  • Connect community members and partners with other social justice entities through active outreach, coalition work, and partnerships to expand support and enable intersectional impact.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong commitment to the mission and values of AAPI Equity Alliance.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in program management or implementation of a service delivery model in a nonprofit or community-based setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable presenting before funders, program officers, and large audiences. An excellent writer who pays very close attention to the details
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to identify local and long-term impacts simultaneously
  • Exceptional ability to learn quickly and thrive in making change
  • Creative problem solver, thoughtful, discerning, and able to communicate ideas in a manner that is both constructive and respectful
  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, public policy, or a related field. A professional or graduate degree (MSW, MPH, MPA, etc.) is a plus
