Job Description

OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced part-time Temporary HR Professional to join our team temporarily, covering for a maternity leave from July to November. The ideal candidate would be available to work at our Norwalk, CT office, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The Temporary HR Professional will be responsible for managing a wide range of HR functions during a 4-month leave of absence. This role includes handling administration of general inquiries, benefits inquiries, employee leaves, recruitment, people events, payroll support, and employee lifecycle.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Address general employee inquiries and provide support as needed
• Perform HR administrative tasks, including record-keeping, invoicing, and documentation
• Assist with payroll-related tasks and ensure timely processing
• Administration of employee lifecycle tasks, including onboarding, offboarding, personnel files, status change letters, and other employee relations matters
• Support the organization and management of people events such as lunch and learns, wellness programs, and employee engagement activities
• Handle benefits inquiries and provide information to employees
• Assistance with employee leave requests and related processes
• Conduct recruitment activities, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding
• Assist HR Director with ad-hoc and other administrative tasks as needed

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (a plus, not required)
• At least two years of experience in a similar HR role (required)
• SHRM-CP, PHR or other HR certification is a plus

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (ADP and Paylocity)
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
