Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner - Bronx, NY (#1611)

Minimum of 6 months experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine

Requirements of Nurse Practitioner:
○Must have an active NY State License
○Must be Board Certified
○Must have at least 6 months of experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine

Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner:
○Develop and implement treatment plans that are appropriate for each patient's condition or illness
○Conduct physical examinations and tests to diagnose conditions, infections, disease processes, etc.
○Provide advice to patients about health maintenance, hygiene practices, diet modification, medication use, etc.
○Perform diagnostic tests, such as wound culture, urinalysis, and blood tests
○Treat minor wounds, cuts, and other injuries using sterile techniques to prevent infection
○Provide educational services to patients regarding their illness or injury
○Order diagnostic tests, such as X-rays or laboratory tests, to help determine the cause of an injury or illness
○Communicate with other healthcare team members to discuss patient care plans
Provide counseling services to patients with behavioral health problems
